Why We Shouldn't Complain About the Price of Gas

May 17th, 2007 at 05:04 am

Daily financial update...

Good Financial Move--had a $10 bill in my wallet and was passing by the bank so stopped and deposited it into my savings account.

Bad Financial Move--I'm so addicted to Starbucks Frappucinnos. Of course had my daily Starbucks ($3) and then wondered why I complain about the price of a gallon of gas when I spend the cost of a gallon of gas on a 12 ounce (really not necessary) drink. Duhhh

If I buy stock in Starbucks would that somehow offset the cost of my habit?

Hehe. Starbucks is rather addicting, though I cant really drink the fraps... unless they're the light sugarfree kind... they upset my stomach horribly! Nice to put things into perspective!

SBUX is free at work, unless we want espresso, then maybe there's a 10% discount between what we pay in the subsidized cafeteria and what we would at a "real" SBUX.

I paid over $10 to fill up yesterday (Ai yi yi!) -- 18 months ago it would have taken me $7.50. I probably don't get to complain, though, do I?

You/we could invest in SBUX as a way of saying "I support local companies!"
